We want to tell you about a book! A comic book presenting 120 stories to save the world! Last month The Most Important Comic Book on Earth: Stories To Save The World from #RewritingExtinction was published and we were triggered by its global collaboration of 300 artists, writers, actors, filmmakers, musicians, scientists, activists, comedians and more.

We ordered the comic book and read it for you. It brings together a big variety of stories and voices of celebrities (Ricky Gervais, Taika Waititi, Jane Goodall, Cara Delevingne, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen …) and global organisations (Greenpeace, Sea Shepherd and the Wildlife Trust) and comes with artwork by illustrators such as David Mack, Tula Lotay, Dinos and Comics, War and Peas, Dami Lee, Aware Animals and many, many more…

Each artist chose their own style: some comics are funny and witty, some are telling the powerful story of environmental heroes or the tale of an organisation, they come dramatic and heart breaking, some artists chose the approach of a call for action and some bring a dash of hope and make you think… The comics are sorted into 4 chapters: Change the system, Protect the world, Restore the damage and Inspire and educate. Each chapter brings some context without becoming too factual or dull. 

We enjoyed the fact that the comics come with an inspirational or educational angle as well as the concept of the book itself: to take the conversation out of the bleak and scary spheres and into popular culture. If you are looking for a Christmas present addressing climate change, this would be our suggestion!

Since the authors donate 100% of their royalties, you will also be directly helping species saving projects with Rewriting Extinction.
